On January 23, a Rawalpindi local court granted another four-day physical remand for Abdul Wahab, the suspect arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 13-year-old domestic worker. The hearing, presided over by Civil Judge Adil Sarwar Sial, took place amid tight security, with the accused being heavily guarded as he was transported from the police station to the courtroom.

During the court proceedings, Abdul Wahab denied the allegations, stating that he had only been employed for four months and noted that the girl was seven months pregnant. In response to these claims, the court has ordered DNA testing for both the accused and the victim to ascertain the facts of the case. The results of these tests are scheduled to be presented to the court on January 27.
