A man allegedly murdered his wife and another man in separate attacks over suspicion of an extramarital affair before turning himself to authorities, police reported. The suspect, Usama, surrendered at Jatli Police Station on Saturday, confessing to the killings and handing over his weapon.
According to ASP Syed Danial Hassan, Usama admitted to shooting Liaquat Bismil with the victim’s own pistol on Wednesday night inside his home. He claimed his wife, Tajmina, helped dispose of the body in a nearby graveyard.
After moving his family to a relative’s house in Islamabad, Usama returned to Daultala with his wife and shot her dead on Friday night, leaving her body on their rooftop.
Police recovered both victims’ bodies with Usama’s assistance and sent them to THQ Hospital Gujar Khan for autopsies.
ASP Danial stated that the suspect had repeatedly warned the two to end their alleged relationship before carrying out the killings.
Since the victims’ relatives in Peshawar did not file a complaint, police registered a murder case on their own behalf. Investigations are underway.
