BAHAWALPUR: Gailiwala police in Lodhran district claimed to have solved the mystery surrounding the murder of a divorced woman, arresting her three brothers for allegedly killing her for “honour.”

At a press conference on Thursday, DSP Khalid Javed Joyia said three brothers — Aamir, Afzal and Feroze — had suspicions about the character of their sister Nasim Bibi, who after seeking divorce twice was living with her sister Tasleem Bibi.

The suspects took their sister’s conduct as a blot on their “honour” and planned to kill her.

According to the DSP, on June 15, 2024, the eldest brother Aamir took Nasim Bibi along on his motorcycle on the pretext of visiting their brother Feroze.
