7 day care centres set up for women

MUZAFFARGARH: Awareness Education Institution has set up 7 Day Care Centres in the district to promote education and to facilitate rural workers and working women.

Awareness Education Institution District Manager Mohammad Shafiq said this during a meeting on Thursday.

The six centres were set up in Tehsil Kot Addu and one in Shah Jamal. The staff will be trained to take care of children, while illiterate skilled women to be educated.

Regional Monitoring Officer Tariq Mahmood said Punjab government was using all the resources to promote quality education and practical steps were being taken for increasing school enrolment ratio to 100 per cent. He said giving necessary facilities for quality education in five schools of Tehsil Kot Addu was at final stage. He said quality education for teachers’ training would be ensured.

‘Foolproof security to be ensured in Muharram’: District Police Officer Rao Munir Zia has said that all steps will be taken by the consultation of all schools of thoughts to ensue peace during Muharramul Haram.

He said this while presiding over a meeting with scholars and members of peace committee. He said that foolproof security arrangements would be made during Muharram and suggestions given by the scholars to be implemented.

The DPO also directed the circle officer to visit their circles and resolve the issues relating to security arrangements.
