3 booked for torture of woman

NAROWAL: Police booked a man and his two sons for torturing his daughter-in-law over a domestic issue in Shahgharib village of Shakargarh tehsil on Sunday.
Abdur Rashid along with his sons Waris and Yasin beat up his daughter-in-law Robina Kausar and cut her hair. Kausar says her husband is a van driver and he also beats her up frequently over petty issues.
Kausar said her in-laws also tried to kill her by giving her electric shocks. Her brother Tanveer said Kausar approached Shahgharib police for registration of a case against the accused, but the police refused.
Police said Kausar did not submit any application for registration of a case. However, police said a case had been registered on the orders of the DPO.
