FAISALABAD: A 12-year-old girl child and a 17-year-old teenage girl were among three who committed suicide in separate incidents here in the last 24 hours.
A police spokesman said that the 17-year-old girl died of an overdose after a quarrel with her parents.
In another incident, a 12-year-old girl child took some poisonous pills over a family dispute. She later died at a hospital. In yet another incident, a 25-year-old man, Qasim, committed suicide because of poverty.
