12-year-old girl sold by brother seeks justice

HAFIZABAD – A youth, who sold his mother for Rs30,000 one year ago, now has sold his 12-year-old sister for Rs20,000.

The two persons who had bought the girl have been allegedly torturing, sexually assaulting and putting her to forced labour for months. However, the girl reached her mother’s house.

Ansar, a resident of village Solangi Gharal, sold his mother after the death of his father to one Abbas and police had arrested him after registeration of a case.

The same accused now sold his sister Shabana to his two brothers-in-law Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Zaman.

The victim managed to escape from a bricks kiln where both the brothers kept her. Shabana said that his brother had sold her only for lust of money and making his marriage. She further said that the accused had sold his mother one year ago.

Shabana and her mother have appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab to take notice of the offence committed by the youth.
