SUKKUR – A woman was gunned down by her husband after being dubbed as kari in Abad Lakho village on the outskirts of the city on September 4.

Nazul, 20, was married to Hazoor Bux Kharoos last year. She was sent to her father’s house after her husband suspected that she had illicit relations with another man. Later, a Jirga was held during which Hazoor Blix failed to prove the charge against her wife and she was declared innocent.

However, she refused to go with her husband and since then she had been residing with her father Allah Warrayo. Police alleged that Hazoor Bux went to the house of his father-in-law with other accomplices and shot her dead.
