ATTOCK: An 18-year-old girl, who had been struggling for three days in the hospital after her cousin attacked her with acid, died on Friday night, police said.

They maintained that the woman had refused her cousin’s marriage proposal.

Police said the woman, a resident of Jatial Village of Hazro police station, was home on Wednesday when her cousin entered the house holding a bottle of acid.

The accused, who had arrived at the village from Karachi, allegedly threw the acid on his cousin’s face to seek vengeance as she had refused to marry him.
