TOBA TEK SINGH: Rajana police registered on Monday a rape case against a microfinance bank official.

As per first information report registered under section 376 of PPC, complainant ‘G’ said suspect ‘N’ along with his accomplices ‘Ad’ and ‘as’ came to her home and interviewed her daughter ‘F’ for a job two months back. She said they again came after a few days when she was not at home and suspect ‘N’ allegedly raped her daughter.

When contacted, the bank manager said ‘N’ had left the job several months ago.

However, his accomplice ‘Ad’ claimed that a bogus case was registered against him as he [‘Ad’] contracted marriage with the girl without the consent of her parents and now her family was blackmailing him to get money. He alleged that the woman had done the same with another person and extorted Rs250, 000 from him by blackmailing.

Police are looking into the matter.
