A doctor was shot dead and his nephew injured

A doctor was shot dead and his nephew injured and a woman was also killed in separate incidents Wednesday in Sohrab Goth and Bahadurabad respectively.

Forty-five-year-old Halima of Sherpao Colony was taken to the LNH after she was shot by her 19-year-old son Adnan, a driver by profession, over her character. She had ten children and worked as a maid. Adnan fled but was arrested with the TT pistol after a few hours by head constable Shakir from the Awami Markaz bus stop. FIR No. 14/08 has been registered by her son Irfan, said DSP Nawaz Ranjha.

Dr Abdul Khabeer, 60, his nephew Mateen and compounder Hashmatullah were rushed to ASH, where Khabeer died.

Khabeer ran clinic ‘Akhwandzada’ in Hassan Nauman Colony, Jannat Gul Town. “I think it is a domestic dispute,” said SHO Javaid Afridi. The accused first went into the clinic and spoke to the doctor. He asked him to come out and then shot him. Khabeer was a resident of Al-Asif Square.

An FIR has been registered by his brother Abdul Majeed.
