Lahore: Parents arrested in so-called ‘honour’ killing of daughter

Lahore Police solved the mystery murder of Faiza, a 20-year-old girl, in the provincial metropolis of Lahore, as police arrested the parents of the victim in the murder of their daughter.

According to the police, the body of 20-year-old Faiza was found two days ago in the Baowala area of Berki.

An FIR was lodged on behalf of Police Station Defence-C and included Sections 302, 311, and 34 against the parents of the victim girl. Lahore Police detained girls’ parents on conflicting statements.

The horrific incident occurred at a residence located in Baoo Wala near Darbar.

Police said the victim was killed by placing a pillow or a cloth on her face and strangling her.

Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) teams collected evidence.

Faiza’s mother Mumtaz Bibi and father Ali Raza confessed to the daughter’s murder during interrogation.

The accused stated that the daughter’s role was suspicious.

A case of the murder incident was registered in the police complaint and the accused were arrested and to ascertain more facts.
