HAFIZABAD: A newly-married couple was shot dead for contracting the marriage of their choice at Madina Colony.
Ahmad Ali, a BCS student, of Jinnah Colony, Faisalabad, had contracted the marriage with Samman, a student of FSc, without the consent of her parents. After the marriage, the couple started living in Hafizabad. On Monday night, Samman’s father Naveed Ahmad with his three accomplices reached their house and opened fire on them. As a result, both of them died on the spot. Later, the accused fled while firing in the air. The City police have registered a case against Naveed Ahmad and three others. The bodies have been shifted to DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
