An accused has been arrested by the Sialkot police for raping a 12-year-old girl, while a separate FIR has been registered for pressuring the affected family and giving death threats.

According to details, the victim’s mother, a resident of Perochak village, filed a complaint with the Motra police station on July 1 that her daughter was going to her aunt’s house where a local shopkeeper and his friend forcibly took her into his shop. She alleged the men raped her daughter inside the shop.

Police registered an FIR and arrested the shopkeeper, whereas the other accused was on interim bail.

The victim’s father filed another complaint that the influential were pressurising the family for reconciliation and also threatening to kill them.

The police registered another FIR against one nominated and two unidentified accused.
