Islamabad, 28-Jan-2026 (PPI): Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary has categorically denied that any military operation is being conducted in the Tirah valley.

In a televised message, the minister stated that if a need for such an offensive were to arise in the future, all stakeholders would be consulted and taken on board before any action is initiated.

He clarified that security efforts are currently focused on intelligence-based operations, which are being carried out under the framework of the National Action Plan and are set to continue.

Mr Chaudhary also took aim at the political opposition, remarking on what he described as the PTI's "negative politics" concerning the situation in the valley.

The minister asserted that the party was employing this strategy to obscure its own administrative shortcomings, ineptitude, and alleged corruption.
