Man chops off wife’s leg for ‘honour’

LAHORE: A man chopped off leg of his wife for having illicit relations in South Cantonment, police sources said on Sunday. The mother five was admitted to a hospital in critical condition. Her husband reached the police station and courted his arrest.

Investigators said that Ghulam Rasool had been staying at a servant quarter along with his family. According to him, his wife Nasira Bibi had developed illicit relations with another servant in the same locality.

The man exchanged harsh words with his wife over the issue late Saturday night. During their scuffle, he attacked his wife with an axe and chopped off her leg. Police have registered a case against the man and are investigating.
