LAHORE: A 30-year-old woman was shot dead by her ex-husband in the Manga Mandi area on early Thursday, police said. The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy.
Ali Ahmed, the second husband of the deceased, told the police that Zaman and his accomplice, Nasir, forced their entry into his house located in the Sham Kay Bhattian area and opened straight fire on his wife, Saima Bibi.
The woman sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced as brought dead. Police said that Saima had been residing with her second husband, Ali Ahmed, after getting divorce from her fist husband Zaman.
The killers managed to escape from the crime scene. The police have registered a murder case and are investigating with no arrest made so far.
