Woman handed over to husband

RAWALPINDI, April 11: A bailiff appointed by district and sessions judge on Friday recovered a woman from her parents’ house and handed her over to her husband.

Malik Lal Khan, the bailiff, raided a house in Tench Bhata area with the help of R.A Bazaar police and recovered Nadia.

The woman told the bailiff that she married Qazi Imran Shahzad, the imam of a mosque, but her parents had kept her in their house against her free will.

Mr Shahzad had complained to the court that Nadia’s parents, who were not happy over the marriage, had kept her in their house unlawfully.

The judge directed both the parties to appear before the court on April 14 for further legal process.

Meanwhile, an additional sessions judge summoned the SHO and an ASI of the Airport police on April 16 to explain why a criminal case was not registered on the complaint of a citizen.

Abdul Aqeel Khan moved the court seeking registration of a criminal case against Sardar Rafique and his companions for allegedly attacking his house and beating him for unknown reason.
