Woman fears honour killing

HYDERABAD: A married woman on Tuesday appealed to the Sindh chief minister, Sindh home minister and human rights organisations to provide her protection as she feared her husband would kill her in the name of honour.

Narrating her ordeal outside the Hyderabad Press Club, Rozina Chandio, resident of Saeedpur, village of Mehar Taluka, Dadu district, told newsmen that her husband Mohammed Hussein Chandio wanted to kill her. She said that in order to save him from arrest, he had declared her as Kari. However, when she knew about the intentions of her husband, she escaped from the house and reached the press club, the extremely frightened woman told the newsmen.
