A minor girl was raped by her neighbour in the Moachko police limits, while another girl was raped by four persons in Sohrab Goth police limits. A minor girl, A, 9, was raped in Moachko police limits. Ghulam Rasool father of the victim said that he was a labourer and was the resident of Gulshan-i-Ghazi Colony of Moachko police limits. He added that on April 27, his daughter, A, asked permission to visit her grandmother who lived a little distance away. It was about 8:00, when his daughter went outside but did not reached her grandmother’s home. He along with other family members went in search of her but failed to locate.

Later they approached the Mosque and made an announcement. While returning home, found his daughter was crying near an open plot situated near his house and the neighbour, Akram, 20 fleeing. The area men chased Akram and intercepted him.

When asked from his daughter (A) she disclosed that she was moving towards her Grandmother’s home, when Akram stopped her and took her to an open plot by saying that there is some adventure inside the plot. While reaching the plot, Akram stripped and raped her. The area men and family members of the victim girl thrashed Akram badly and afterwards handed him over to the Moachko police.

The Investigation Officer of the case, said that the accused confessed his crime and medical tests were conducted which proved commission of the offence. In another case, Ms S, 15, who was raped for six months by four suspects returned home and was produced before Sohrab Goth police station. Ali Mohammed a resident of Sohrab Goth said that, on November 16, 2007, his daughter went out for some work when, a lady Zeenat, a resident of the area came and kidnapped his daughter with the help of accused Rafiq, Ramzan, Yaqoob and three others. In this regard Ali lodged an FIR at the Sohrab Goth police station.

The victim, S, said that she was taken by the suspect to Punjab to a city she could not determine and there all the three raped her daily. When the victim asked them as to why they were subjecting her to this atrocity, they contended that they were avenging the murder of one of their men by her father.

Later they took her to Lahore, where she managed to escape and reached Karachi on April 25 and met with her family members and then informed the area police. ASI Masroor of Investigation, Landhi Town, said that a raid was conducted in Lahore and they had arrested one suspect Ramzan and also conducted the medical examination.
