Trafficking: Woman seeks case against rapists

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought comments from the Sanda SHO by November 26 in a petition seeking the registration of a case against six men accused of rape and trafficking.

Razia Bibi said she was abducted by Arshad and Zakir on December 15, 2012, on Malik Munir Road near Tanveer Hospital. She said a woman named Kausar Bibi was also present in the car.

Razia Bibi said they took her to an unknown location and raped her. They later took her to a place called Bahawaldas. She said they detained her there for three months during which she became pregnant.

Razia Bibi said that Arshad and Zakir shifted her to Arifwala. She said she had tried to escape from there but they caught her and thrashed her breaking some of her ribs.

She said she was then taken to Bahawalnagar and sold to a man for Rs300,000. She said her child was born there.

Razia Bibi said that she managed to escape from Bahawalnagar.

She said when she went to the relevant police station, the SHO refused to register a case.

Razia Bibi asked the court to direct the Sanda SHO to register a case for abduction, rape, and trafficking.
