KHAIRPUR, Oct 31: Asif Solangi, the brother of Ms Tasleem Solangi, who was killed in March in the Hajna Shah area, has said that he, his sister and parents were under threat by an influential person of the Hajna Shah area.

Tasleem’s father Gulsher Solangi confirmed that before being killed the girl was thrown before hungry dogs and he was an eyewitness to it as he saw it from the window of the house where he was detained.

They were talking to journalists at the Circuit House here on Friday.

Earlier in the day Gulsher Solangi, his wife and his son Asif, were brought here from Karachi by the police. They were produced before the civil judge of Pir Jo Goth-Kingri under strict security where all three of them recorded their statements.

Gulsher told journalists that after killing her daughter, the accused, including Mohammad Ibrahim and others threatened to kill all his family members one by one. He said that his brothers had been torturing his family members including his other daughter Kulsoom.

He added that two years ago he met the then DPO of Khairpur and informed him about the torture on him and his daughter Kulsoom. He added that the police took action against those persons who were involved in the torture but later he forgave his brothers.

He said that he owns about six acres of agricultural land in his name and his three brothers namely Zameer, Karim Bux and Rahmatullah wanted to occupy his land.

Answering a question, he said that after murder of Tasleem, he did not know any thing as to who attended the jirga which declared Tasleem kari and who was paid money because he had been detained in his house.

He added that after Tasleem was killed, he was not allowed to attend her funeral.

He said that he and his wife had given more details before the court on Friday.

Zakra Solangi, mother of deceased Tasleem Solangi, said she was constantly being threatened by the accused persons and sought security.
