Sir: Forbes magazine, one of the most reputed business publications in the world, has released its annual ‘30 under 30’ report, detailing those personalities under 30 who have made a mark in their respective niches in the world. There are three Pakistani women on that list as well, showing the world that young women in this country are a lot more than they are given credit for. They are eager, full of potential, successful and recognised.
This goes against the grain of how Pakistani women are portrayed in the media, shown as helpless, oppressed and under the heel of men. The Forbes report has opened plenty of eyes and has made many a Pakistani woman hopeful.
