Peshawar: Six accused in Swara case of Mankial, tehsil Bahrain, district Swat have been sent to prison. The arrested persons besides members of the Jirga Abdul Ghaffar and Mian Jee were included would be husband of the affected girl, Shawadin son of Mohammad Amin, brother of the affected girl, Omar Khan and Mohammad Zarin.
After remaining in two day physical remand they were Wednesday presented in the court of Judicial Magistrate, which ordered their shifting to prison. The accused were shifted to Daggar Prison. According to police a local Jirga in Mankial, distict Swat have declared a teenage girl Shehr Bano 17 daughter of Mohammad Zarin as Swara and handed her over to Shawadin son of Mohammad Amin. Last Sunday was fixed for the formal handing over of the girl. However, on receiving tips police foiled the handover and the accused were arrested and registered FIR against them.
