Karachi: The father of a gang-rape victim from district Ubavro testified before the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Nizar Ali Khawja on Wednesday.

Hamza Labano, father of 13-year-old Nasima Labano, deposed before the court that owing to some dispute between his family and Abdul Sattar Labano over the matter of kids, the latter had threatened them that they would damage his (Hamza’s) honour so that he could not live respectfully in society.

He told the court that one of his relatives Anwar Khan along with his 10 accomplices kidnapped Nasima and took her to the residence of Abdul Sattar where 10 people raped her brutally.

At the time of the incident, he said, he was not at home and later Nasima narrated the whole episode. Nasima Labano was gang-raped by 11 people, of whom three are still at large.

Hamza Labano lodged the FIR (07/2007) at Ubavro police station under sections 354-A, 387 (A), 337-F (1), 147, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Shahzado, Abdul Jabbar, Anwar Hussain, Khadim Hussain, Ali Hasan, Shah Baig and Bashir Ahmed are being tried by the court, while Abdul Sattar, Morozado and Munawar Hasan are absconding. Another accused Long Khan died during the trial.
