KARACHI, February 23,2005: Yasin Bawany, the alleged rapist of aid Aasia who was burnt to death, was on February 22 admitted to bail against a solvent surety of Rs 500,000 and personal bond worth the same amount by District and Sessions Judge, East, Zafar Ahmed Khan Sherwani.
Shahadat Awan advocate, counsel for the applicant/accused, arguing the Bail plea, submitted that there were at least three alleged statements of the victim which itself created doubts in the story of the prosecution.
