FAISALABAD: A pregnant woman was beaten to death in Chak 215 in the limits of Sadr Police on Wednesday. Four accused, including Muhammad Anwar, suspected that Allah Rakhi had helped their sister flee with her paramour. On the day of the incident, the accused forcibly entered the house of Allah Rakhi and thrashed her severely. She died on the spot.
In another incident, a commission agent of Sadhar fruit and vegetable market was allegedly murdered by his friend. About two days ago, Sajjad came to the house of Muhammad Amin and later they both left for the market. Amin’s family suspected that Sajjad had murdered Amin when he did not return home and reported the matter to Sadr police. On Wednesday, the police took Sajjad into custody who confessed that he had murdered Amin for money and threw his body in Chak 175/GB.
