Police on Tuesday foiled an attempt of Karo Kari to kill a couple on charge of illicit relations in the limit of Moan Jodro police station. According to police sources, some people of village Binry Saria held a Jirga convicting Rabian, mother of four children and a man Ihsan for adultery, announced death sentence for them.
The Jirga decided to kill both the accused, however police got the information of the incident and reached the spot, rescued both of them. The representatives of Jirga managed to flee from the scene. Talking to media persons the accused woman denied the charges and said that her husband was working in Saudi Arab and her husband’s brother has levelled baseless allegation on her. She blamed her in-laws for subjecting her to torture and manhandling.
