The seminars will be arranged at federal and district level to raise awareness among women enabling them to speak against injustice and protection of their rights.
Women across the country will commemorate February 12 as National Women Day in remembrance of the state’s brutality against them in Lahore in 1983 to protest against the Law of Evidence, which reduced the status of a women witness to half that of a male one. Like every year, a number of activities will be arranged on women day without any discrimination on ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political basis.
