A mother of ten was shot dead by unidentified men in Sohrab Goth police limits, while the husband of the deceased claimed that he had some enmity with his home town men and pointed the finger of suspicion at them.
Maha Bibi, 35 was shot dead in her house within the Sohrab Goth police limits. The police said that they received information that a murder of a lady had taken place in Ehsanabad.
On receipt of the information they moved to the spot and shifted the body to the hospital.
The slain woman’s husband, Saadullah, claimed that four unknown men broke into his house and started quarreling with him and later opened fire at him but his wife Maha was caught in the crossfire and was killed on the spot. The killers fled.
The SHO Sohrab Goth, Azam, said that deceased Maha had four children from her previous husband and after his death, she married Saadullah who was already married but at the time of their marriage, both had not disclosed the fact of their previous marriages to each other.
After two days of marriage both made disclosures of their previous marriages to each other and according to neighbours, the two were constantly having violent differences of opinion.
According to the SHO, Saadullah was a broker by profession, working at the Sohrab Goth Vegetable Market. During interrogation Saadullah said that a dispute was on with some tribesmen in who came and killed his wife.
Nasrullah, the brother of the slain woman, Maha, alleged that a dispute was going on between the families for the past few months and that Saadullah had been beating his sister, leading to the suspicion of Saadullah being the murderer. Further probe is underway.
