MIRPURKHAS – A married woman was tortured when she resisted the rape attempt allegedly by some villagers in her house at village Kilay Dara on Saturday.
Victim Fauzia, wife of Ismail Kaloi, told the media at Digri Press Club that four persons, including Arshad and Ashraf, belonging to her own community, forcibly entered her house in the absence of her husband and tried to rape her.
“On offering resistance, I was beaten up with sticks and even axe,” she said, and added, “They even tore apart my clothes. However, I raised hue and cry, they fled from the spot.” She informed that she had submitted an application to Digri police station SHO in this regard.
