MULTAN: A married woman sustained serious burn injuries when her husband threw acid on her face on Saturday.

According to hospital sources, Irshad Ahmed of Anaetpur (Khangarh) was an alleged gambler and his wife Gulnar Bibi was not happy over it. She asked him several times to give up gambling. After an exchange of hot words, the man threw acid on his wife. As a result, she sustained serious burn injuries and was shifted to the Nishter Hospital. Khangarh police have registered a case and started investigations.
