Man slits 18-yr-old Sister’s throat

KARACHI: Four people, including two girls, were killed in different incidents Sunday. Eighteen-year-old Asia was killed by her brother in Alfalah Society, Gulistan-e-Naz in Juma Goth. According to her mother’s statement to the police, the family was watching TV when Asia’s elder brother, Sharafat Ali, asked her to come to another room, saying that he wanted to discuss some issue with her privately. Asia’s mother, Ameena Bibi, said that Ali locked the door from inside and after a few minutes they heard her screaming. They sent a child to the other door of the room, which opens onto the street, to unlock the door. The child found that the door was wide open and the girl was lying on the floor with her throat slit.

Sharafat was not in the room and had escaped from the same door. Ameena has lodged an FIR at the Alfalah police station. Eight-year-old Maryam was killed in a clash between children, involving their elders, in Gulshan Sikandarabad. The police said that the clash between the children of two families. started on a petty issue, which later involved the elders of the two families. One man took out a pistol and opened fire on the other party, killing Maryam. The police have registered an FIR against Kamal alias Kamaala and Amir. They managed to flee from the scene. Also, three men opened fire on an elderly man after he asked them to stop aerial firing at a wedding ceremony in Sohrab Goth area.

The police said that the incident took place at the wedding ceremony of Lal Jan’s son and daughter. According to Jan’s statement, three criminals of the area, Essa, Moosa and Saleem, came to the ceremony uninvited and started aerial firing. Haji Races Gul, 55, who had come from Kohat to attend the ceremony, asked the three men to stop firing. They didn’t listen to him and opened fire, injuring Gul. He was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he died during treatment. The killers managed to escape. Unidentified people shot Mohammad Ali, 52, in Orangi Town. His brother has lodged an FIR in the Pakistan Bazaar police station.
