SUKKUR: A man shot dead his 13-year-old niece on Sunday in the limits of Kot Mitha Police Station of Naushehro Feroze.
Reports said Rasheed Mughairi killed his niece Hajani and, with the help of his son, dumped the body in a ditch near his house.A witness to the crime informed the SSP Naushehro Feroze, who rushed to the place, exhumed the body and arrested Rasheed Mughairi, who admitted his crime.
Mughairi told the police during interrogation that he had sold the girl to a man and forced her to marry him but she refused to do so, at which he shot her dead and dumped the body with the help of his son.
SSP Naushehro Feroze Javed Sonharo Jiskani said both of the accused had been arrested and investigation was underway to dig out whether there were other reasons for murdering the girl.
