SHEIKHUPURA: Two girls, said to be sisters, were shot dead by their elder brother in the name of honour here in Mananwala locality, some 35-km away from here on Tuesday.
According to details, the accused identified as Imran, elder brother of 18-year-old Sobia and 16-year-old Aalia had doubted his sisters character and had warned them several times to mend their ways.
He was ‘reportedly’ annoyed with their ‘immoral activities’ which he deemed as causing disrepute the family. As usual he again exchanged harsh words with his sisters over the same issue at which he got flared up and shot both his sisters dead.
Later the accused managed to escape from the site. The Manwanwala Police are looking into the matter.
