OKARA: A-Division police on Saturday booked a man on the charge of killing his wife over a property issue. Accused Faryad Zafar had contracted marriage with Misbah of Bama Bala some time ago.
Later, Faryad asked his wife to transfer her property on his name but she refused to do so, which infuriated the accused. On the day of the incident, the accused took his wife on a car by saying that they would go on a long drive.
On the day, the accused along with his accomplices allegedly strangled her and rammed into his car with the railing of an overhead bridge to hide the murder. However, the police found marks of torture on the neck of Misbah. Later, the police registered the murder case on the application of Misbah’s brother Faisal Riaz.
