An angry husband killed his wife at their residence in the Frere police limits on Wednesday.

Surayya Begum, 55, was strangled by her husband Shafiq-ur-Rehman after a heated argument at their residence 11/25 situated in Delhi Colony. Later the accused went to the police station and surrendered. The police arrested Rehman and shifted the body of Surayya to Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities.

Meanwhile, Ali Ijaz, 50, was stabbed to death in a clash between two groups near Memon Hospital in Mithadar police area. The police were informed by the area people. The police shifted Ijaz�s body to Civil Hospital Karachi. According to the police the motive behind the killing is still unknown.
