Harassment of women a routine in political parties, says Reham Khan

ISLAMABAD:  Journalist and PTI leader Imran Khan’s former wife Reham Khan has said that sexual harassment of women in the political parties was a routine.

Talking to media, she said there should be independent complaint cells in the political parties to register harassment complaints. She said the highhandedness and privileges on the basis of gender could be seen openly. She said the PTI, PML-N and the PPP were not democratic parties, and now there was no difference between dictators and politicians, and added had the parties been God fearing, women of noble background would have been part of them.

“Have you ever seen the women adorning political gathering sitting on stage,” she asked. This statement has been construed as aimed against the PTI and a debate has ensued on the social media denouncing Reham’s statement.
