Girl burnt alive in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: A 16-year-old girl was burnt alive by unidentified people in her house at Guru Nanakpura on Friday. Beenish was standing on the rooftop of her house when unidentified people sprinkled kerosene oil on her and set her ablaze. As a result, she received serious burns. She was taken to the DHQ Hospital from where she was referred to a hospital in Lahore due to her critical condition. Baghbanpura police are investigating.

Online adds: A man burnt his sister Beenish alive over a marriage issue. According to media reports, Beenish refused to marry against her will and that was unacceptable to her family. The girl was taken to a hospital where doctors said that 70 percent of her body was burnt. On the other hand, the girl’s uncle said that Beenish had attempted self-immolation.
