Gang-raped girl seeks DPO’s help in loding case

OKARA: A girl who was abducted at gunpoint and gang-raped for a fortnight has written an application to the district police office (DPO) about her ordeal and complained to him that the SHO of the Chuchak police is not entertaining her request to register a case against the alleged rapists.Reortedly, Shamshad Bibi,daughter of Muhammad Sharif Kharal, of the Doni village in the Nankana district, was taken by her neighbour, Zahiran Bibi, wife of Azeemn, to the Joyia village, Okara, to pay homage Chan Pir at his tomb on October 10.
When they left the tomb,Zahiran Bibi, her sons Irfan Ali and Ghulam Ali and their accomplice, Umar Hayat, son of Rajab Ali Kharal, abducted Shamshad Bibi at gunpoint and took her away in a car.The men dropped Zahiran near Jandraka and carried the girl to a locality near Jaranwala, where they gang-raped her for 15 days. One day, she got a chance to run away and returned home. Since then , she has been continuously going to the Chuchak police to ledge a case, but, the SHO has allegedly been insulting her and refusing to register the case. Now she has submitted an application to the DPO , seeking his help in the registration of a case.
