HYDERABAD: A gang rape victim here on Wednesday appealed to the higher authorities to provide her justice by apprehending those who had raped her.

“I am receiving death threats from the culprits, therefore, an independent inquiry should be conducted to apprehend the culprits involved in my rape,” Meeran told a news conference at the press club here. She said that she was raped at her relative’s residence in the limits of GOR police station and was later taken to Tando Mohammed Khan and Tando Adam, where she was continuously raped for a few days.

She alleged that Doso, Lachman, Sanwan and Haji Siddiq kidnapped her from Hyderabad on February 23, 2008 and kept her at the house of Masood Bahrani in Tando Mohammed Khan.

She said that she was intoxicated and the culprits also made films of the sexual assault. She said that she had finally managed to flee while the session’s judge had ordered the registration of a case against culprits on March 5, 2008.

She said that the case had been registered at the GOR police station and Masood Bahrani was arrested but other culprits were still at large. She said that cassettes of her rape were available with the wife of Masood Bahrani that would help prove that she was forcibly raped besides her medical report would also confirm this point. She added that her husband had left her after the incident and was also not allowing her to meet her children.
