ISLAMABAD: Dr Shaheena Ayub Bhatti, a veteran academician in the field of American Indian Literature, received Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Best University Teacher Award for the year 2011.
Dr Shaheena Ayub Bhatti did her postdoctoral research from University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona in the US and served as general secretary of Pak National Fulbright Association Alumni (Pak-NAFA) and member of national and international associations. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has launched this innovative project to give awards to best university teachers in degree awarding institutions of the country in order to honour their achievements and recognise their contributions to the field of higher education. The award committee has selected around 63 university teachers after a comprehensive evaluation and scrutiny of the 153 nominations received from the higher education institutions from across the country. staff report
