Call for bringing brutes to book

LAHORE: The relatives of murdered teen student have been crying for help for the past 18 days.
Eighteen-year-old girl Saba Maqsood was shot dead in her home at Chak No 38, Nizampura Chellaywala,

Tehsil Shahkot, District Nankana Saheb about three weeks ago.

Four alleged killers include Nafeesul Hassan, Nazim Ali, Ghulam Abbas and Hussnain killed the 3rd year student, Saba, when she was sleeping at her home in Shahkot area on March 7.

She was brilliant student and wished to become engineering but her dream buried with her.

Although Shahkot Saddar Police booked the alleged killers, the assassins were still on the loose. Locals told this scribe that the accused are influential and that’s why police reluctant to arrest them. The accused also involved in many heinous crimes, they added.

Relatives of the ill-fated teen girl and locals staged a protest demonstration against the murder of Saba Maqsood and demanded of the government to provide justice to aggrieved family.

Raising slogans against the influential, the participants of the demonstration urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of the incident and provide justice.
