LAHORE – The heroine of upcoming Lollywood movie ‘Best of Luck’ ended her life yesterday night.
Nisha Shaukat, 21, was found hanged from her house in Iqbal Town, police said.
“She was happy and perfect one night ago.
She was busy with her recordings at a local studio.
She left happily.
I cannot believe she took her own life,” a source told The Nation.
“We are all saddened.
She died days before the release of her movie on Eidul Azha,” the source added.
Her body was hanging from the ceiling fan with a rope tied to her neck as investigators entered her bedroom.
The police moved the body to morgue for autopsy and are investigating.
A TV channel reported her family as saying that Nisha committed suicide over a domestic dispute.
Police said it was premature to say whether she committed suicide or was murdered.
The lawmen seized her mobile phone and other belongings for investigation.
She entered the film industry eight months ago.
