KARACHI: A four-and-a-half-year-old girl was abducted from a slum in Buffer Zone and later subjected to torture and rape, when she refused to beg on the insistence of her captor.
According to details, the minor was playing outside her house on September 7 when 28-year-old Asif Amin offered her sweets and abducted her.
Taimuria police station’s Investigation Officer Qamar Kiyani told Daily Times that he and his police party raided a hotel in Block H of North Nazimabad on Wednesday night from where they rescued the minor and arrested Amin.
Quoting Abbasi Shaheed Hospital’s Medico Legal Officer Qamar Yasmin, Kiyani said that the minor was subjected to torture and rape, adding that the doctors had sent the required samples for a chemical examination and a DNA test to determine if Amin had raped the minor besides torturing her.
According to the minor’s statement, Amin had raped her.
However, Amin denied the allegation and said that he did no such thing, adding that he had only forced her to beg.
