KARACHI: January 13,2005: The Mominabad police have nabbed two killers of a minor girl and on their disclosure, the body of a girl was recovered stuffed into a gunny bag in Faqeer Colony vicinity, Sector 10, Orangi Town, late on Tuesday night.

According to details, Palwashay, nine-year-old daughter of Khudadad, a Biryani seller and a resident of the same area, had gone along with her sister, Shehla, to buy bread from a nearby shop on Tuesday. Shehla returned while Palwashay went missing.

When Khudadad returned home he was informed about his missing daughter and he started the search.

Some of his friends and area residents joined him in the search and they approached to the bread shop, where on a query, a heated exchange ensued which turned into a clash.

Police intervened into the clash and enquired the causes of clash and rounded up Azeemuddin and Jamil for questioning who disclosed during initial interrogation that they murdered the girl and threw her body after wrapping it in a gunny bag.

Later, on a lead provided by the two arrested men, police recovered the body of Palwashay and shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where medico-legal experts were of the view that deceased girl had been subjected to sexual assault before murder.

The body was later handed over to her family after completing legal formalities and police have registered a case FIR No 9/2005, against Azeemuddin and Jamil.
