2 minors slaughtered by maternal uncle

LAHORE – A 35-year-old man stormed into his sister’s house situated in the Baghbanpura area on Wednesday afternoon, slaughtered her two minor daughters, wounded another and fled away, police and local residents said.

Police investigators said the killer has been arrested but the motive behind the gruesome killings were yet to be ascertained until late Wednesday night. According to the police, Kainaat, 16, Kiran, 6, and Kanwal, 4, daughters of Waseem, were present alone at their house when their maternal uncle, identified as Nasir, entered the house and attacked them. Local residents told the police that Nasir, said be a labourer, forced his entry into the house of his sister, locked all her three daughters into a room and repeatedly stabbed them.

The killer slaughtered Kiran, 6, and Kanwal, 4, and also stabbed their eldest sister Kainaat, who managed to flee from the house with multiple injuries. The killer fled away as the local residents intervened after the girls made hue and cry. Father and mother of the girls were not present at the house when the accused, also a drug addict, attacked the minor girls.
